See What People are Saying
We recently went to Seattle to attend the national GIG conference there. The most common comments made were:
"These aren't gluten free. Are you sure it's gluten free? It doesn't taste gluten free. I can't believe it, I just can't believe it, everything tastes good!"
And our favorite . . . . "It tastes like bread! I'm eating bread and I like it! This is amazing!"
Oreos are awesome. My son is going to enter them in a baking contest this weekend. Kimberly Pouilly
Thank you so much for all the help you have been to me. My son has Celiacs and he is Austic as well and the only bread he will eat is the one I make from your Cook Book. He love everything I cook again. He has gained weight and is looking so good. Thank you so much you have been such a life saver for me.
Thanks for some superb 'basic' recipes...I have been looking for things like the cream soup base, and from here, the sky is the limit! Look forward to your bread recipes - the feedback on them is fantastic! I made a very similar 'taco soup' last night - maybe I am starting to get the hang of this after all!!
I just wanted to thank both of you for the wonderful receipe book! I was diagnosed at the end of November, and bought your book soon after. Everything (yes, EVERYTHING) I have tried has been awesome, some even better than the "normal" versions, like the Sugar Cookies & Corndogs. I didn't want to make my family something, and then make something else for me, too, so this book has been awesome, my family can't even tell the difference! Thanks so much for all you do, I can't wait to meet you at the next class! Sandi Hiatt
I made the pancakes that night and I was more then happy. They
tasted so good as if they were something I couldn't eat and should feel bad
about. But no, I wasn't in pain at all. I was so so happy. I froze the
rest and have enjoyed them since. Great job and thank you so much for
coming up with such great things we can eat. My mom is really excited to
try them. She keeps asking me about the recipe book but I keep trying to
avoid it because I got it for her for Christmas:). Thanks again Kirsti. I
can't tell you how excited I was. I can't wait to try the bread recipe too!
You two have been a god send, in the talent that you have to rearrange the recipes to make food good again. Thanks again. Whitby- from Springville, but I work in Provo.
I got my cookbook yesterday and have read it cover to cover...I LOVE IT! I am so excited to try the new receipes - they look so easy and the ones I've tried from the website have been awesome. Thanks a lot - I'm telling every GF buddy I have. :)
These taste awesome, don't they? I think I ate about 8 of them the first time I tried them.
- Travis Thomas (a non-celiac) to his father (another non-celiac), about pancakes made from our GF Waffle mix
This diet has helped Alex (my son) SO much that I can't justify
stopping it, but it has been such a challenge, the cost, the time, the
inconvenience. I am a chef by profession and am used to making REALLY
GOOD FOOD, and so far most every GFCF meal I have made has been bland,
grainy and dry. I have looked at your website, the apple muffins are
absolutely AMAZING, Alex and my husband Mike ate the whole batch the
morning I made them. I tried the true yeast bread, but obviously I was
doing it wrong, so I am very excited to try it again. I made your soft
batch cookies and substituted raisins for chocolate chips because I
couldn't find any casein free chocolate chips, they were wonderful, I
ended up making another double batch and freezing a bunch, they were
great! I made the pancakes and they were very good, and I saw some
other breakfast things, I thought my family was the only family who
made Ohukaisets and I can't wait to try them as well as the german
pancakes, traditionally those have been two of our absolute favorites!
The Honey BBq sauce is fantastic, as are the Swedish Meatballs and the
Candied Chicken. I am excited to try more of your recipes, being that
they have been some of the only ones that have turned out edible (but
judging by my gross misunderstanding of GFCF bread, I could be making
other grievous mistakes in my GF & CF cooking).
Thank you so much for your hard work on your cooking and website so
others can benefit. I am excited to broaden my GF & CF horizons.
It was great meeting you two at the GIG Conference! I LOVE
your products. After I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease my in-laws
hit their health food stores in San Jose and brought me several hundred
dollars of GF products so I could find products I liked (yes, I'm
spoiled...). Yuck, yuck and more yuck. I was convinced that there was no
such thing as a tasty GF bread or cake product UNTIL I found your Waffle
Mix. Mmmmm! I made the Chocolate Cake this weekend and my non-CD
husband and son love it too! So good! I wish I had bought more than the 5
I got! Thanks, ladies!
Just wanted to drop you gals a quick note, I made the
waffles, from your mix. As you already know, the best tasteing waffle I've,
or my family has ever tasted! I've gone to a couple of your classes, and
they have been very helpful to me. So thanks for all your hard work,
and the wonderful help you give us all! Have used several of your
recipes, haven't hit a bad one yet. Again THANK YOU BOTH!!!!!!
I loved the candied chicken that Mette fixed, and tried it myself when
got home!!!! My whole family loved it. THanks for sharing that
recipe, and for all the work you do to make our glutten free lives more
enjoyable!!!!! love carol.
I have never been able to come to your classes because of school and work conflicts but I am so grateful to you. I look forward to all of the recipes you post on the website. I love to cook and your recipes have been so great. Thanks for all of your hard work.
Thanks so much for all you do. The class thursday night was awesome, I will be making the breads that I know the rest of my family will enjoy.
Have a great Chrsitmas!
